Flora 4 Pets products are 100% natural, safe and edible. Our products will still work even if most of it is licked off. Though, for best results, we advise using distractions. Give your dog a raw bone to chew on, a yummy treat, dinner, or play with them for a few minutes until the balm has had a chance to work its magic. We hear peanut butter works great!

We recommend applying at least 2-3x daily. Frequent application is important to protect against infections and to kill any existing harmful bacteria. Be sure to generously, covering the entire area. Decrease use with improvement.

This is hard to say, it varies greatly depending on the initial condition and frequency of use. Many customers see incredible results within the first week, while others may take longer. It is important to apply multiple times daily and try to distract your dog from licking in order to get the best results. Wounds have been proven to heal much faster with the use of Skin & Paw Healing Balm than those without.

Paws will be slick directly following application, so it is advised to allow time for it to absorb/dry before coming in contact with absorbent surfaces. Start with a very thin layer to ensure a quick dry time. Many customers will lay down an old towel or rag to protect surfaces during application. We also recommend applying right before bedtime when your pup is relaxed and ready to sleep through the night. This is also a great time because that is when the body goes into regeneration mode!

A cream is lighter in consistency and contains a mixture of water and oil in its base. Its texture is similar to whipped cream and it blends in with the skin once apply.

Balms are typically plant oil and wax-based ointments used to heal or soothe the skin. They are thicker than lotions and creams and don’t contain water. Balms can have a consistency somewhere between a heavy liquid to a solid. Balms provide superior protection and deeply nourish skin because they use plant oils, butters from nuts and fruit, and waxes such as beeswax. While balms may feel greasier than lotion, those oils are doing their job at nourishing your skin.
